About the Major Research Centre
Your employer is a leading European major research institution for IT security under the auspices of the Federal Government. The large-scale research facility is currently being expanded to 500 researchers in order to conduct applied research in the field of cyber security and data protection. This planned growth requires extensive new buildings as well as expansion projects in a national and European context.
Your Workplace in the Procurement and Contracting Office
The team of the Procurement and Contracting Department consists of just under 10 employees. In the course of the expansion of the research institution, the department will also grow proportionally. Excellent professional leadership is ensured by an experienced department head.
Your Duties and Responsibilities
- Coordination of procurement projects with the entities responsible, including initiation and implementation of needs assessments and analyses
- Preparing and independently carrying out direct orders, national and Europe-wide tendering procedures, taking into account and complying with the regulations of the German Law on Restraints of Competition (GWB), the German Regulation on the Award of Public Contracts (VgV), the German Construction Contract Procedures (VOB) and the German Regulation on the Award of Public Contracts (UVgO)
- Documentation of procedures in compliance with the law
- Participation in electronically supported processes (e-procurement, e-tendering, SAP)
Your Training and Qualifications
- Successfully completed studies - Law or studies in Construction Law and Construction Management
- Relevant professional experience in the field of public procurement desirable
- Good knowledge of current public procurement law and initial experience in dealing with the required regulations (VOB, HOAI, etc.)
- Very good knowledge of German and English language
